Record producer Don Jazzy was born Michael Collins Ajereh in Nigeria on November 26, 1982. He founded Mavin Records and serves as its CEO. Co-owners of the now-defunct Mo’Hits Records record label were Don Jazzy and D’banj. In 2008, Don Jazzy received credit for helping to produce D’Banj’s The Entertainer. In addition, one of the best albums to come out of Nigeria, Mushin 2 MoHits by Wande Coal, was produced with his assistance. In 2011, Don Jazzy was hired by Kanye West to work as a producer at Very Good Beatz. Lift Off, a track starring Beyoncé from the album Watch The Throne, was produced by Don Jazzy in collaboration with Jay-Z and Kanye West and released on August 8, 2011. Don Jazzy announced the launch of Mavin Records on May 7, 2012.
